Geneva Collins, 89 of Newport, KY passed away May 17, 2014. Geneva Plowman married the Love of her life AD Collins on March 17, 1947. She shared a wonderful life with a loving and devoted husband for 67 years. Geneva had an everlasting love for her husband and her pet name for him was "Doll". She raised a garden in her younger years and enjoyed working side by side with AD as they pulled the weeds. Geneva had many pets during her life. Dogs and cats were like children to her. She was a Business Partner of the Collins Auto Parts of Newport, KY. Geneva was a supporter of the Keturah Street Church of God in Newport, KY. Besides leaving behind her beloved husband AD Collins, she leaves behind a son Jeffrey Houze of Crittenden, KY, a Grandson Jeff Houze of Newport, KY, a Granddaughter Ally Campbell of Batavia, OH and 2 Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Minnie Skeen and Reva Jennings. Visitation was held on Tuesday at Cooper Funeral in Alexandria from 5-8pm. Services was on Wednesday at the Funeral Home at 10 am.
