STANFORD - Services for Addie M. Adams, 87, of Stanford, was at 2 p.m. Monday at Stanford Baptist Church by the Rev. Max Hester. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery. She died Friday at her residence. Born March 19, 1916, in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late John and Emma Lear Tankersley. She was the widow of Milton Adams.
She was a farmer and landowner for more than 50 years, and was a homemaker. She was a member of Stanford Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, J.W. "Dub" Adams, and a grandson, Donald K. Adams. Survivors include a son, Donald Adams of Stanford; a daughter, Emma Kidd of Somerset; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jimmy, Bobby, Milton and Robbie Adams, Bob Marshbanks and Darrell Todd. Honorary pallbearers will be George O. Spoonamore, Mike Bertram, Ed Land and Jimmy Estridge. Visitation was at Spurlin Funeral Home. Memorials may go to Heritage Hospice of Danville.
