Mrs. Ella Nora Tootle Ackerson, 72, died Thursday, July 29, 1999, in Ocean Springs.
Mrs. Ackerson was born in Biloxi and was the former owner of Archie's Furniture and Nora's Cafe, both in Ocean Springs.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son; her parents; a sister; and a brother.
Survivors include two sons, Brigham Rex Tootle and Douglas K. Tootle; two sisters, Doris Howard, all of Ocean Springs, and Emma Ellis of North Biloxi; two brothers, Francis "Eddie" Ladnier of Ocean Springs and Huey Ladnier of Delcambre, La.; and three grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. today at Crestlawn Cemetery. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
The family prefers memorials to the American Cancer Society, 182-A DeBuys Road, Biloxi MS 39531.
