Colson, 65, a Northern Pacific telegrapher – agent at Worden, died in a Billings hospital Saturday night of a heart attack.
He was born June 8, 1900, at Lowry City, MO, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Colson. He came to Maudlow, northwest of Bozeman in 1916 and in 1918 moved to American Falls, Idaho, where he was employed by Union Pacific Railroad as a telegrapher.
He returned to Montana in 1922 and was employed by the NP on the Montana and Yellowstone divisions. He was assigned to Terry from 1936 to 1957 and to Park City from 1957 to 1962 when he was transferred to Worden.
He married Mildred I. Snow at Billings March 18, 1931.
Colson was a member of the Masons, Royal Arch Masons, Eastern Star, Knights Templar, Al Bedoo Shrine and Brotherhood of Railroad Telegraphers.
Survivors include his widow and two brothers, Roy of Rockville, MO, and Charles Colson of Billings.
