Wayne E. Illum, 69, of Kankakee, died Friday (Sept. 18, 2009). Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Momence Funeral Chapel, 203 N. Locust St. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church of Momence. The Rev. Jerry Haley will officiate.
Burial will be in Shrontz Cemetery, Momence.
Mr. Illum retired from Baker & Taylor as a supervisor after 41 years of service. He was born Sept. 9, 1940, in Kankakee, the son of Glen and Myrtle Dodson Illum. His wife, the former Victoria L. Rampke, died in 2001. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Surviving are four sons and three daughters-in-law, Cory and Sandra Illum of Momence, Brian and Terri Illum of Kankakee, Scott Illum of Bourbonnais, Kevin and Amber Illum of Lawrenceville, Ga.; 10 grandchildren; and special friend, Karen Berg of Bourbonnais.
Deceased are his parents.
Burial will be in Shrontz Cemetery, Momence.
