PEORIA JOURNAL STAR:
Roy Bowen, 79, of 1213 N. Haven Court died at 2:20 am in Highway Nursing Home.
Born June 18, 1905, in Farmington to John and Grace Bowen, he married Anna Goetzinger April 25, 1929, in Joliet, IL.
He first worked as a miner in area coal mines, then as a painter for the last 30 years out of Painter's Local 157, retiring in 1970.
Surviving are his wife, two sisters, Mrs. Elaine Ruffatto of St. David and Mrs. Margaret Pickering of Abingdon, and several neices and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Sunsay at Davison-Fulton Western Chapel, where services will be held at 1 pm on Monday. The Rev. James Sandy will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
