SPRING VALLEY - John B. Aimone, 89, of 600 W. Devlin died at 2:34 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2000, at St. Margaret Hospital.
Born Sept. 17, 1910, in Coal City to Frank and Marie Chiado Aimone, he married Olga Troy on June 18, 1932, in Spring Valley. She died Nov. 19, 1986.
He also was preceded in death by one grandson and three sisters.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Herb (Annette) Frizol of Rantoul; two sons, Alan (and Rosemary) of rural Granville and Troy (and Deborah) of rural Spring Valley; eight grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; and one sister, Angie Waytenick of LaSalle.
A carpenter, he was a member of Carpenters Local 195.
He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and was a former member of the St. John Bosco Association and the Spring Valley Knights of Columbus Council.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Barto Funeral Home in Spring Valley and at 10 a.m. at his church. The Rev. Bruce Lopez will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park.
