Mrs. Annie Abbott, one of the oldest residents of Duncansville, died at her home on Front street, Duncansville, this morning at 9 o'clock after a two year illness of cancer. She was bedfast for six months.

She was born in Duncansville on Feb. 10, 1846 the daughter of Christian and Catharine Kephart, deceased, and spent her entire life in Duncansville. Her husband died twelve years ago.

She was a member of the Methodist church and of the Ladies of the G.A.R.

Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Charles Meade and Mrs. Louis Frauwein, both of Philadelphia, and Miss Hilda of Pittsburgh and two sons, Blair and James, both at home, and two brothers, Alex of Duncansville and Wood of Hollidaysburg.
