Lois was the daughter of George Washington and Ary Ellen (Beswick) Guthrie.
She was a retired real estate agent and insurance broker, and a horse trainer for Nodders Nook Farm. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 88 and attended Palmetto Assembly of God.
She married Chester Ping on December 22, 1919. They later divorced. She married Roy H. Stone on March 29, 1924. They also divorced. She married James McClure Marcum on July 10, 1930. They were married for 40 years when he passed away in 1970. She married Ervin Earl Bagley on November 29, 1973.
