Services for Christine L. Ahrendsen, Oxford Junction, were held July 14 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Oxford Junction. Burial was in the Mayflower Cemetery, Oxford Junction. The Rev. Douglas Holmgren officiated.

Miss Ahrendsen died July 11 in her home. She was 88 years old. She was born near Wyoming, Nov. 26, 1892, daughter of Henrich and Margaretha Hansen Ahrendsen.

She received her early education in the rural schools of Wyoming and Oxford Junction. She spent her last 58 years in Oxford Junction working as a seamstress. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, OES Peerless Chapter 435 and other local clubs.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Erma Ahrendsen, Olin, two nieces and eight nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers.
