This inscription is reported in High on a Windy Hill by Mrs. Catherine S. McConnell. This out-of-print genealogical reference is much sought after by residents of Washington County, Virginia, and the numerous scattered descendants of that County's forefathers. The work identifies 333 Washington County Cemeteries and cites the inscriptions of each tombstone. Examination of the Cemetery however does not reveal the presence of a grave marker even though her husband and son are buried here. Their headstones appear to be relatively new and is is possible that hers was never replaced and the old one removed.
