Roy Lee Alexander was born on August 7, 1947 in Tennessee Colony, Texas to the parent of Emma Lee Gibson Banks. He was the first of 11 children. Roy was raised in Yard, Texas and attended school at Green Bay Public School and Cayuga I.S.D.

He accepted Christ at an early age and joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. He served at Chairman of Deacon Board, he was a life member. He was also a Mason Olive Star Lodge #163 32%. He served as President of New Hope Cemetery.

Roy married Johnnie B. Donnell on May 10, 1969.

He worked as a Tech at Texas Department of Park and Wild Life and also worked in the Maintenance Department at Cayuga I.S.D. He also served in The United States Army.

Roy Lee left this earth on the Wings of Angels on July 4, 2014 in Tennessee Colony, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Lee Banks; Godmother, Gussie Williams; brother, Anthony Banks; parent-in-laws, J.B. & Dollie Donnell; sisters-in-law, Fayrene Warren, Darlene Bell and Becky Rene Donnell.
