Lonnie "L.D." Baker, 58, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014, in Glen Rose.
A graveside service was held Wednesday, April 2, in Nancy Smith Cemetery.
Lonnie was born April 9, 1955 in Houston to Alton Leslie Baker, Sr. And Lois Christine Hollis Baker. He married LaBarbara Ann Metker on January 13, 1976 in Glen Rose.
He attended Glen Rose schools and had lived there since childhood. He was a pipeline welder and enjoyed painting, reading, working out, playing the guitar and his grandchildren. Lonnie was a member of the Glen Rose Masonic Lodge No. 525, the Pipe Liners Union No. 798 and Cottonwood Baptist Church in Glen Rose.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Leslie Baker. Survivors include wife, Ann Baker of Glen Rose, Son, Lonnie and wife Kerry Baker of Aledo; daughter, Candace and husband Jordan Thompson, of Glen Rose; grandchildren, Jakob, Jackson, Landrie and Aubree; mother, Kris Hollis Baker of Glen Rose; brothers, Roger and wife Sandra Garrett of Fort Worth and Ronnie Baker of Glen Rose; sister, Elaine Evans of Glen Rose; and many nieces and nephews.
