Olive M. Aker 1891-1920 appears on the 1910 (Grant County) and 1920 (Hidalgo County) New Mexico census, with her husband, Quincy Franklin Aker.
In 1910 they did not list children, but in 1920 there were these children listed: Everal E., Marlin F. (Martin) and Preston.
After Olive's death in 1920, Quincy remarried (probably about 1922-1923) he and his children are found in the 1930 and 1940 census for Duncan, Greenlee, New Mexico with his new wife, Mary Alice_____and another child, Betty born about 1924.
In 1910 Quincy was listed as being a teamster working for himself. Living at Lordsburg, NM. when he registered for the draft WW I in 1918, and was married to Olive, with a child, at that time, says he was a cattleman working for himself, had bad eyesight, and was born Nov 25, 1887 in Jefferson Co., NC. I am not certain, but believe Quincy died in Claremore, Rogers, Oklahoma, from a SSDI record, January 1969.
There are at least 5 more recorded, (no dates) but unmarked Aker graves at the Mountian View Cemetery, probably from this family. The only one with a date is "Aker, Mother" unmarked burial date 1926, and the other is "Aker J.L." unmarked. (From a cemetery record by Pat Bennett)
I found Preston Aker in Duncan, AZ. in 1940 b. abt 1920 married to Gertrude who I believe is their son. I have not researched the others at this time.
From Death record online Her parents are Frank Harper and Sarah C. (Toney) Harper
Married 13 NOV 1909 Grant County
