Chas. BATTERN, of Ringwood, died Tuesday morning following an illness of long duration, which however only became serious during the past few weeks.
Mr. BATTERN came to Okeene about eight years ago and farmed near here for several years. He made this change on account of his health, giving up his former occupation as a salesman. Farm work becoming to much for him he moved to Ringwood about a year ago and has been running a cream station at that place.
Mr. BATTERN made many friends here while a resident of our community and all regret very much to hear of his death.
The body was brought to Okeene and funeral services held at the Methodist church Thursday afternoon.
