BIRTH: Her birthdate is given as Jun 1868 in the 1900 census, but many think she was born in 1865. her Obit below gives us yet a third option.
For this reason I had initially left the birthdate blank. But now someone has added the headstone pic (shows b.1867) so I am using the BIO birth date which concurs with the headstone date.

OBIT: Mrs. O. F. Besser, 827 Truman Avenue, who died Monday morning at the age of 67 after 35 years of residence in Hammond, will be buried Thursday at 2 p.m. in Elmwood cemetery after services at the Timmerman and Richardson funeral home, where friends may view the body. The Rev. Frank H. Watkins will officiate.
Born in Columbus, O., March 22, 1867, she was married to Oscar F. Besser October 22, 1888, in Decatur, Indiana.
Survivors include her husband, one son. R. H. Besser, South Bend; one daughter, Mrs. Viola Ames, with whom she resided; one grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. John Kelly and Mrs. D. F. Teeple, Decatur, Ind., and two brothers, Dennis Reardon, Toledo, O., and Frank Reardon, of Mansfield, Ohio.
