---Laurence A. Albright was born November 5, 1877 at Harmony, Indiana and died March 18, 1947 at the age of sixty-nine years, four months and thirteen days. When a young man he came to Missouri and spent most of his life in and around Atlanta and La Plata until about four years ago when he moved to Carlsbad, New Mexico.
---He was united in marriage to Anna E. Farr, August 26, 1900. To this union eight children were born, two dying in infancy.
---Early in life he united with the Baptist Church of Atlanta.
---Mr. Albright, for a number of years, owned and operated what was known as the Albright Motor Company in La Plata. After moving to New Mexico he had been in the grocery business which he sold recently.
---At the time of his death, which was due to a heart attack, he was making his home with his son, Olin Albright and family.
---Services were held in Carlsbad, New Mexico Thursday afternoon, March 20th, at the West Funeral Home. The body was then brought to La Plata where services were held at the La Plata Baptist Church Sunday, March 23rd, conducted by Rev. Charles Halbrook.
---He leaves to mourn his passing, six children, Olin Albright and Mrs. Cleo Bunch of Carlsbad, New Mexico, M-Sgt. J. Gail Albright of Arlington, Virginia, Mrs. Art Danner of Moberly, Missouri, Mrs. Gus Countent of St. Charles, Missouri, and Mrs. Clyde Naylor of La Plata, Missouri; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Dunninghton of Atlanta and Mrs. Edith Harmon of Detroit, Michigan; one brother, Newt Albright of Humbolt, Kansas, besides a number of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
---His wife preceded him in death March 4, 1941.
---Burial was in Mt. Tabor cemetery east of Atlanta.
