FOREVER YOUNG !! ( For my beloved Godson )

The Sun is dancing softly,
On the grave where he is laid.
And the hollow in our heartbeats
Is a fabric that won't fade.

He was woven there to gladden us,
And he stays forever young.
Remembrance is a gift from God,
To see him laughing in the sun.

We may think it's imagination,
Though the vision's very clear.
Let his image comfort us,
That's how we'll keep him near.

The "might have beens" are Devil's prompts,
For us to be angry with the Lord.
HE never would have chosen him,
If we could not carry such discord.

Darkness cannot be welcomed,
Into a heart where he lives still.
For how else will the Joy, he brought,
Ward off the bitter chill?

Let the wind whisper in his laughter,
Let tears recall his precious face.
Remembrance is a gift from God,
To hold in our hearts' embrace.

Dare we argue with the Lord?
On why he should have stayed?
Were it not for Love and Grief,
No Angels could be made.

But he cannot ever leave us,
If we never quite let go.
LOOK! There he is, inside our hearts.
Because we love him so.!!
