Larry Gene Abernathy, 65, of Silver Lake, died Sept. 19, 2004.
He was born Jan. 18, 1939, in Prague, Okla. He attended Contra Costa Community College in California and lived in Portland for 38 years before moving to Silver Lake nine years ago.
Mr. Abernathy worked in inside sales with White Cap and as a warehouse foreman for Burke.
He married Sharon Jacques on Feb. 19, 1983, in Portland. She survives him. Also surviving are four sons, Jeff Abernathy, Tracy Abernathy, Grady Abernathy and Tim Abernathy; a daughter, Trina Owens; and 11 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Oaks Pioneer Church in Portland.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Home Health and Hospice, P.O. Box 2067, Longview, WA 98632.
