Sedan – Ross Edwin Chrisman, age 80, of Sedan, Kansas, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016 at LakePoint Nursing Center in Augusta, KS.

Ross was born on May 4, 1936 in Sedan, Kansas to Leo Chrisman and Grace (McGill) Chrisman. He grew up in Sedan and graduated from Sedan High School in 1955.

On October 6, 1955 he married Louise Sutton in Sedan, Kansas and to this union was born three daughters. They made their home in Sedan before moving to Howard where they raised their family. Ross worked in the oil and pipeline industry which took them various places before retiring and settling back in Sedan in the late 1990’s. Ross was currently residing at LakePoint Nursing Center in Augusta, Kansas.

Ross worked for Koch Industries most of his career. He started out gauging oil wells in the Howard area. After taking early retirement, he then worked on the road as a pipeline inspector. This job allowed him and Louise to travel and spend time together.

Ross is survived by two daughters, Debra L. Roebuck and husband Jim of Howard, Kansas and Cindy L. Chrisman of Wichita, Kansas; one brother Mack Chrisman and wife Joy, one sister Jimmie Sanborn all of Sedan, Kansas; one sister Janice Chrisman of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; five grandsons; Zacharie Mast of Severy, Kansas, Cody Mast of Moline, Kansas, Chad Mast of Douglas, Kansas Kurtis Roebuck of Overland Park, Kansas and Tyler Roebuck of Howard, Kansas; five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

Ross was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Chrisman, one daughter, Vicki L. Chrisman, one brother, one sister and his parents.

Family and Friends may call on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Dickens Family Funeral Home in Sedan.

Church Services will be held Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 10:00 am at the First Christian Church in Sedan with Pastor Susan Galvan of Howard, Kansas officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery in Sedan.
