Eighth-grade student at Hamilton Middle School in Cypress, Texas. Son of Amy and step-son of David Truong. Asher was known for earning good grades. His mother describes him as having been, "such a sweet boy." She says, "Asher was a great boy. He was very smart." His step-father describes him as having been, "an individual." Asher tragically took his own life by shooting himself in the head, after enduring relentless bullying and teasing at school. He had been picked-on for his small size, his religion, and because he did not wear designer clothes and shoes. Some bullies had accused him of being gay, and made fun of him and humiliated him for it. He did admit he was gay to his mother and step-father, and may have also mentioned it at school, which may have made the bullying worse. Asher had already changed school districts two years prior, due to bullying he had been enduring at his previous school.∼Asher is forever missed by his family and friends.
