George passed away when he was hit by a semi truck. Reportedly, at around 5:25 AM, he was walking along Interstate-84 near The Dalles, where he was from. A group of commercial trucks were trying to pass him; they stated that he was staggering down the middle of two lanes. Some of the semis successfully passed him, however even though a couple were forced to slow down to approximately 25 MPH and move to the shoulder to try and get by him, ultimately George fell underneath one of the semis, and was immediately killed when he was run over. Apparently it seems he had a medical condition which may have played a role in his behavior. George was 67.
