A. J. Alexander, better known as John, died at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon (29 Nov. 1891) and the funeral services were held in the United Presbyterian Church on Monday at 2:00 P.M. He was 52 and unmarried. Had been in the army and was getting a pension. Had been ill with stomach cancer, or something of that nature, for some time.Bloomington Republican Progress, Dec. 2, 1891.
