He was born on September 15, 1945, in Springfield, the son of the late Dean and Nell (O'Neal) Algeo. He graduated from Catholic Central in 1964 and served our country in the National Guard.
Charlie worked for 31 years at International Truck, retiring in 1997. He enjoyed golfing and woodworking. He loved his family and had many friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Julie (Rob) Jones; sons, Ben (Susan) Algeo and Kevin (Denise) Milner; siblings, Ann (Ralph) Downer, Judy (Joseph) Hauck, Jane Nachtrieb, Michael (Sue) Algeo, Beth Burlile, Mark (Chris) Algeo, and Steve (Mary Ann) Algeo; grandchildren, Isabella, Isaac, Collin, and Siena; his first wife, Karen (Stover) Algeo; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Julie Algeo, in February of this year.
A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017, from 10 - 11:30 a.m., in the Littleton & Rue Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday in the St. Teresa Catholic Church. Burial of his urn will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery.
