Roberta (Bertie) Atley, 87, of Jamestown, passed away September 1, 2017. She was born October 6, 1929, in Jamestown, Ohio, to Myron Fudge and Sarah Beal Fudge. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Dale, and her parents.


Bertie loved the Lord and was a member of First Church of Christ in Xenia, Ohio. She was a homemaker, as well as working on the family farm. She loved working out with her friends at Cedarville College and enjoyed bowling in her younger years.


She is survived by three sons, Chris and Carol Atley, Clyde and the late Linda Atley, Carl and Melanie Atley; and special friend and caregiver, Melody Day. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Bertie will be greatly missed by all who loved her.


Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, 1:00 p.m., at Powers-Kell Funeral Home in Jamestown, where friends may call from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.


Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Bowersville, Ohio.
