A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2001, in Lincoln Memorial Park for Alice Eva Behrent, who died Sept. 8 at age 83. Mrs. Behrent was born Alice Eva Lucas on Oct. 10, 1917, in Lamar, Mo. She moved to Portland in 1948, and was a cook for Albertina Kerr Centers until retiring in the late 1970s. In 1937, she married Charles Behrent; he died in 1974. Survivors include her son, Charles; daughters, Sharon Collins and Judy Calgagno; brother, Franklin Lucas; sister, Evelyn Higgins; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
