Angelo Joseph Alunni, a resident of Archbald, died Saturday evening at Lackawanna Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born March 17, 1926, in Archbald, son of the late Angelo and Clorinda Mariotti Alunni, he was a graduate of Archbald High School and Penn State-Extension, majoring in surveying. Angelo was a self-employed carpenter and retired surveyor for Eddy Creek Mining Co. He was a master in carpentry and furniture making and found joy in gardening and wine making. He was a member of Christ the King Parish. Angelo was the center of his family's universe. He loved his life and his family and was adored by them in return. He will be missed beyond words. He was also preceded in death by his sons, John and Joseph, on Dec. 3, 1957; brothers, Samuel and James; and sister, Freida Andreoli. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Louis J. Rapoch Funeral Home, 420 Church St., Archbald. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Parish, St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Interment will be at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.
