After high school, he began a career in the golf business. To support his young family, he left the golf business and worked for the Precedent Company in Indianapolis for almost twenty years, followed by two other trucking companies. His last employer in Indiana was Expedited Freight Systems.
Pat is survived by his wife, Deborah; children, Kelsey and Jackson; two sisters, Janice Camp and Barbara Browning; one brother, Michael Barrett; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
There was an open-house celebration of his life on February 17, 2014, at the Walker Cottage connected to Wilson-St. Pierre Funeral Home in Greenwood, Indiana.
