Leda Wallentine Bentsen, 70, Montpelier, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, at Bear Lake Memorial Hospital.
She was born July 27, 1919 to William and Bertha Ann Lewis Wallentine.
She married F. C. “Hoag” Bentsen Aug. 7, 1940. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on March 3, 1960. He died in April 1985.
She was an active member of the LDS Church, holding a number of positions in her lifetime. She was doing temple work at the time of her death.
She enjoyed bowling, handwork and crafts.
She is survived by one daughter, Kathryn Corless and five grandchildren, all of Wolf Point, Mt., three sisters, Loda Nelson, Riverside, Ca.; Mrs. Blake (Norma) Jensen, Montpelier; and Joyce Johnson, Salt Lake City; and one brother, Russell Wallentine, Paris. She was preceded in death by one daughter, two sons, four brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 6, in the Montpelier Fourth Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Montpelier Cemetery.
