Florin Bentsen
Florin C. "Hoge" Bentsen 67, died Sunday at his home in Montpelier of a sudden illness. He was born June 25, 1917, in Montpelier to Chris and Sophronia Jane Dayton, Bentsen.
He married Leda Wallentine Aug. 7, 1940, in Randolph, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan, UT. LDS Temple, April 30, 1960. He was a lifelong resident of
Montpelier and worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as a conductor for 41 years. He was an honorary member of the Bear Lake Search and Rescue organization. He also worked for many years with the Boy Scout troop in the Montpelier
Fourth LDS Ward. He is survived by his wife of Montpelier;
a foster daughter, Kathryn Curless; two brothers, A.J. Bentsen, Montpelier; Carl Bentsen, Deming, N.M.; three sisters, Mrs. Elma Moss, Montpelier; Mrs. Howard (Virl) McMurray, Pocatello; Mrs. Robert (Bonnie) Berg Salt Lake City; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three children, his parents and two brothers. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Montpelier South Stake Center. Friends may call at Matthews, Mortuary Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday at the mortuary and for one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Montpelier Cemetery.
