Agatha Cherry Dies Following Long Illness

Agatha M. Cherry, 84, of 2200 Grande ave. SE, died early Monday in a Cedar Rapids hospital following a long illness.

Born Jan. 28, 1876, in Troy Mills, she was a member of First Presbyterian church St. Luke's hospital auxiliary, Tourist club and Cedar Rapids Country club. Miss Cherry was a past board member of the YMCA.

Survivors include 2 sisters: Nell L. Cherry, Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. George Lutgerding, Phoenix; a brother, Howard Cherry, Cedar Rapids, and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Herbert T. Cherry of Tama.

Funeral arrangements are being made by Turner's.

Cherry, Agatha M. - Turner chapel 1:30 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Francis W. Pritchard of First Presbyterian church. Burial: oak Hill. The family suggest that friends may if they desire, make a contribution to a charity of their choice. The casket will be open until 1 p.m. Thursday but not at the services.
