Rene was born on Feb. 28, 1952, in New Orleans, LA. He was predeceased by his parents Lawes and Rita Alonzo. He is survived by his life partner Karen Bennett; and son Gabriel Alonzo.
Rene lived life like he played music, free and truthful. His soul shined through his fingers and voice, and will continue to shine for all those who are touched by the recordings he left for us.
