CARDINAL -- Meddie Cardinal, 80 years old, died Friday evening at the home of his son, Frank Cardinal, 218 North Sixteenth street. He was born in Canada June 6, 1851 and was married to Catherine Brethore in 1876. In 1878 they came to Michigan and settled at Summit. In 1908 Mrs. Cardinal died and since he has been living with his daughter, Mrs. Thomas Canniff of Grayline, and his son, Frank Cardinal in Saginaw. He came here last September.
He leaves two daughters and one son, Mrs. Canniff, and Mrs. Joseph Fournier of Grayling and Frank Cardinal of Saginaw, two grandchildren, three brothers, Fred Cardinal of Carrollton, Israel and William Cardinal of Grayling. Friends may view Mr. Cardinal at the Deisler chapel until Sunday afternoon. The funeral will take place Monday morning at St. Mary's church at Grayling. Rev. Fr. Joseph Culligan will officiate and the burial will be at Wolverine.
