The daughter of Samuel Ferguson & Mary Jamison, wife of Reuben Bailey, and one of the Bailey family members who may have been buried in the plot of Richard I in unmarked graves.

She was the sister of Isabel Ferguson (who married Richard Bailey II, brother of her husband), Samuel, Mary Jane, John, William, Thomas, and Elizabeth Ferguson.

The estimation of Sarah's date of death was somewhere between 1825 and 1830 (based on research compiled by the Bailey family and Mary Ellen Howe).
NOTE : [3/14/2016 - the amended dates above were requested by Andrew Ferguson (#48326791) based upon Ferguson family histories (Boothe).
Wayne County may have been Cabell at that time.

There are eight persons known to have been living here and assumed buried in this family cemetery.
The number is an approximation.
Only the grave of Richard has a marker. The marker was placed by the John Chapman Chapter, of Bluefield, of the Daughters of the American Revolution; and is a government marker. The land is included in a tract owned by private businessmen.
The image of the marker, above, made for his family
was contributed by Mr. Jeff Brown.
