Harry E. Barney, 88, of Star Route 4, Everett, died at his home on Sunday, February 28, 1982. He was born in Monroe Township, October 15, 1893, a son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Maxwell) Barney. He was married to Mary Jane Stayer, who preceded him in death March 15, 1973.

Surviving are three sons: Jack S. Barney, S. Lee Barney, and Roger D. Barney, all of Star Route 4, Everett; and these brothers and sisters, Max Barney, of R.D. 2, Everett; Fred Barney, of Uniontown, Pa.; Elaine Barney, Ethel, wife of Joseph Rodgers, of Calif.; Leota, wife of Ralph O'Neal, of Clearville; and Mabel, wife of William Archer, of Oakdale, Pa. Seven grandchildren and three great- grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by one daughter, and two brothers.

Mr. Barney was a member of the Cherry Lane Church of the Brethren.

Funeral services: Wednesday, March 3, at 2 p.m. at the Conner- Dalla Valle Funeral Chapel in Everett, with Rev. Clyde Bush officiating. Burial in Frame Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 9 p.m., and until the hour of service on Wednesday.
