DEATH OF MISS,
HATTIE ABITZ ON
SUNDAY AT 1 P.M.
Miss Hattie Abitz, age 22 years, died at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Abltz, 815 N. Fourth St. shortly before 1 o'clock yesterday noon, of inflammatory rheumatism following an illness of about three months. Miss Abitz, was born in this city September 22, 1899, and attended the Longfellow school here. She later entered the employ of the Citizens Telephone Exchange, then went to the Badger State Tanning company, and for the past year and
a half was, again an operator at the Citizens Telephone Exchange. The flag is at half mast over the exchange building out of respect to her.
Besides her parents she ia survived by four brothers and five sisters: Private Alfred Abltz, Co. B, 33rd Infantry, Panama Canal Zone; Herman, George and William at home; Mrs. Robert Cartwright, of Sioux City, la.; Mrs. Harry Kroos, Mrs. William Sinn, city; and Misses Valeska and Ida, at home.
The funeral services will be held from the late home at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, the Rev. W M.Czamanske officiating and interment will be in the Lutheran cemetery.
The choir of the St. Mark's Lutheran church, of which the deceased was a member, will render selections at the home and the grave.
