Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Abitz, 815 N. Fourth street, pioneer resident of this city, who passed away on Thursday morning, were held at 2 p. m. on Saturday
at Nickel's Funeral home with the Rev. George McCreary of United Lutheran church officiating. Burial was made in the Lutheran cemetery. At the services Mrs. Martha Goulke accompanied on the organ by Fay June Puls. sang "Beautiful Isle" and "My Faith Looks Up To Thee". Among the many beautiful floral tributes that banked the casket while the body rested in state were those from Traffic Sunshine club, Telephone Co. Girls union, Bridge club and Chicken Tavern Bowling team.
Pallbearers were George Abitz, David Wagner, LaVern Kraus, Rowland Kroos, Elwood Kroos and Robert Cartwright. From away to attend the services were Herman Abitz of Appleton, Mr.and Mrs.Fred Abitz, Mr.and Mrs.John Abitz, Mr. and Mrs. William Boettcher, Darlene Boettcher and Mrs. Elmer Karl of Brilllon, Mrs. Hattie Anderson and Mrs Minnie Engelhardt, Elmwood Park, ILL; and friends and relatives from neighboring communities.
