Mr. Adams was born in Queens, NY and moved to Port St. Lucie 30 years ago from Wantagh, NY.
He was an engineer in the U S Department of Commerce industry a member of American Legion Post 0126, Jensen Beach, Fl, Acacia Masonic Lodge, retired member in Coast Guard Auxiliary in Stuart, Fl. He served in the United States Navy during WW II in the UDT's and in Korea on the USS Caperton, he graduated from New York University and a member of Stuart Presbyterian Church, Stuart, FL., member of NARFE ( National Active Employees Retirement Assc )
Survivors include his wife of 17 years Dorothy Starkey Adams, Port St. Lucie, FL step-sons, Robert Starkey, JR. of CA, Earle Starkey of FL.; step-daughters Susan Baltrus of , NY, BethAnne Davies, of Fl.
The family will receive friends on July 24, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Masonic Service will be held at 7:00 PM at Forest Hills Funeral Home Palm City Chapel.
Funeral services will be at Forest Hills Funeral Home Palm City Chapel July 25, 2011 at 11:00 AM, with Entombment to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City, FL with military honors by the US Navy
