Sandra Alene Roberts Allman of Brooksville passed away peacefully May 13th, 2014. Sandy was born in West Palm Beach on August 9, 1950 to Nettie McGehee Roberts and Oscar Edwin Roberts, Jr. She moved to Brooksville in 1966, and graduated from Hernando High School in 1968. She went to Palm Beach Junior College, and Florida State University; graduating in 1973. She received a Master's Degree from Florida State University in 1994. Sandy was a Social Worker for Human Resources Services, and a teacher in Palm Beach County. She was also a Home Economics teacher for many years in schools in Hernando County. She was an Extension teacher for Grady County while living in Cairo, Georgia. She enjoyed quilting and sewing when she was not teaching and helping others.
Sandy is survived by her husband of 28 years, and her sister.
Friends will be received on Saturday, May 17th from 10-12 at the Brooksville Chapel of Brewer and Sons Funeral Home with a Service to follow.
She will be laid to rest at Lake Lindsey Cemetery.
