Thomas Walters was born in 1922, research shows his parents as Vincent Walters and Gladys Brullisa, Gladys' first marriage was to McGuire and this is where young Thomas's name comes from. It appears that he was never formally adopted by Vincent Walters but did take on the name at burial. As far as I know there is no record of these people as blood relatives of our Walters' line yet young Thomas is buried in the Walters family plot and was, in fact, the first burial there.
Thomas died in a tragic accident in Riverside Park in Manhattan, he was digging a cave in the hillside when it collapsed on him and he suffocated. The article can be found on page one of the NY Times, 28 Oct 1935, the accident occurred on Sunday afternoon the 27th. He had a young friend with him, Victor Arnau, Victor survived the cave in.
