He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Betty Basham; son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Keri Basham; Sharon Hale and Jay Shepherd; six grandchildrenm Jennifer Oldham, Danny Helms, Oliva Hale, Marie Eakin, Amber Hale and Noah Basham; three great grandchildren, Harley and Shelby Oldham and Nevaeh Helms; two brothers, Bill Basham and Cleon Basham; sisters, Mary Cline, Dot Perdue, Carolyn Helms and numerours other loving family and friends.
Tommy was one of the first paramedics for the Montgomery County Ambulance Service and he was also a Deputy Sheriff for the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department. He was a lone time, respected friend and vendor at Happy's Flea Market in Roanoke.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Lotz Salem Chapel. Interment will fellow at White's Cemetery in Shawsville with Pastor Virgil McHome officiating.
