Richard was employed by Smith & Wesson as a toolmaker for 34 years and a self-employed tobacco farmer. He was a US Navy Veteran of WWII, a member of the VFW Post 9544, and a member of the Elks Lodge of Chicopee, Massachusetts. He belonged to the Sacred Heart Church in Suffield.
He was a loving person and will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
Burial with full Military Honors was at the Saint Joseph Church Cemetery in Suffield, Connecticut.
