Harold Schedin Kent, age 83 years, of Grand Rapids, MN died on Friday, March 22, 1991, at the Itasca Medical Center, Grand Rapids.
Harold was born on Dec. 15, 1907 at Bovey, MN. He was a member of the Johnson Hodgins Post No. 4016 of the VFW; served in the Army in WWII; worked for School District No. 316 as a maintenance man in the bus garage; was a custodian and caretaker of the Hodgins-Berardo Arena. He had also worked in the Danube Mine, Civilian Conservation Corps, and was self-employed as a bulldozer operator and construction worker in Iowa and Colorado. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and a member of the DAV Chapter No. 13 of Grand Rapids.
He is survived by one son, David, and one daughter, Susan (Larry) Hansen, both of Grand Rapids; one sister, Ruth Kelly of Grand Rapids; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth in 1984.
Funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 26, 1991, at 1 p.m. at the Petersons' Funeral Chapel, Coleraine, with the Rev. Ken Parker, of the 1st United Church of Bovey and Coleraine officiating. Visitation was held on Monday, March 25, from 4 to 8 p.m., also at Petersons' Funeral Chapel. Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine. Arrangements were by Petersons' Funeral Chapel, Coleraine.
