Its with a heavy heart I write this and its taken me awhile. Any errors or mistakes are mine. And I only write this out of love and respect for Nancy. Nancy was my very best friend. We met in 8th grade at Gordon Junior High School in Georgetown, Washington, D.C. She lived in a row house on Hall Place. Her parents were Donald and Ann Purkhiser. Nancy had three older sisters Sharon, Janice, and Donna. We spent many Friday nights at her house watching Creature Feature. Nancy was the only one I confided in about my abusive life at home. I can only assume she kept my secret. After I moved to Winchester, Virginia her parents moved to Bethesda, Maryland. We still kept in touch. She married Julio Caraballo her first husband. We had all went to school together so I knew him. I got married and it ended in divorce. I left Virginia and moved in with my Grandmother in Maryland. Nancy and I were still in touch. Somewhere along the way we lost touch. What I didn't know at the time was she remarried to a man named Dwain Leslie. And I remarried. I broke down and cried when I found out she was living in Frederick, Maryland at the same time I was living in Hagerstown, Maryland. Only a half hour away. So close but didn't know. I don't know what Nancy passed from I just hope she didn't suffer. Again I leave this memorial in rememberance of Nancy. If any family members of hers sees this I hope they E-mail me. Maybe they remember me. Remember we were teenagers about 13 years old. I may not be accurate on everything as I'am 58 years old now and have cancer. I will never forget you my friend.
