Mrs. Christian Alberts, Funeral services were held at the First Reformed Church in Orange City at 1:30pm, October 2 for Mrs. Christian Alberts, 94, of Orange City, who died September 29 at the Orange City nursing home.
Service were conducted by the Rev. R. Van Heukelom and burial was in West Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Van Etten Funeral home.
Mrs. Alberts, the former Nellie Groot, was born in the Netherlands February 3, 1879. She came to the U. S. at the age of nine. She was married to Christian Alberts, Octorber 9, 1902. they farmed west of Orange City prior to their retirement.
Survivors include two daughters, Minnie at home and Mrs. Dick (Katie) Muyskens of Edgerton, Minn.; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
