Edward C. Mixon Sr. 71 of Nederland died at St Mary's Hospital. A native of Beaumont, he had lived in mid and south county 35 years and was retired from Jefferson Chemical Co. He was also retired from the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Merle Mixon of Nederland; two sons, Robert Moore of Nederland and Edward C. Mixon Jr. of Austin; and three grandchildren.
