MOUNT CARMEL -- Ira S. Burton, 79, died Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at Oakview Heights Nursing Home.
He worked 20 years for Rosignols Marathon Service Station.
He was a World War II Army veteran and member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Mount Carmel.
Surviving are his wife, Nola (Wood); four sons, Sylvester Lee of Yuma, Ariz., Ricky Ray and Joe F., both of Mount Carmel, and Jimmy of Vincennes, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Short Funeral Home, with burial in Friendsville Cemetery.
