Hannah Louisa Williams came to the USA in 1896 where she lived in Jolliet Will, Illinois with her husband William Hopkins. Before she married William Hopkins she was married or had a child by William Jones who was Sara Jane Jones Hopkins (. She was disabled but was kept at home till she was instutionalized. I believe she was mentally disable. I remember my grandmother giving these white gowns away from the Sara after her death with her sister Hannah who lived in California ) her second marriage .They were married in England in 1891 and had children. .1.)Sara Jane Jones (Hopkins) adopted by William Hopkins but father was William Jones on death certificate. 2.) Lewis Hopkins . 3.) Eleanor Mary Hopkins ( Jones) 4. William John Hopkins 5.) Albert Bowen Hopkins , moved to California . 6.) Anna Maud Hopkins ( Rose )after that last birth William Hopkins found work as a tin plate worker in Monessen , she moved to Moneesen Pa. And lived their all her life , on 2 Schoonermaker Ave. with returning for a visit to her country of birth. For the visitation of family or the death of a member. this was my Great great grandmother . She went frequently back to Wales on the Star Line Ships , (the people that built the titanic )for visits. I believe her family was wealthy and had something to do with owning the coal industry in Wales . Because of all the jewelry and the picture online was in a beautiful home and my fathers picture was baptistery in a long gown in some pictures had a beautiful wicker stroller. My grandmother was Eleanor Mary Jones and was married to William Henry ( Harry) Jones from Sebastopol , Swansea , England/Wales. Came in 1907 to Philadelphia to his uncles David Jones , worked as an electrition till he went back in 1910 to Porthcawl , to visit mother Kate in the intenrary, The other children dispersed and married . William,to Chicago , Albert to California , Anna Maud stayed in Illinois , Sarah Jones never married and was put in a home. Lewis I have found and I believe died in Charleroi with his father but before him. Hannah and William separated and where in the process of divorcing ,but she died before this went through. But he died in north Charleroi , Pennsylvania . Not SCRANTON PA. SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE PUT THAT ON THERE LINE AND HIS BROTHER FOUND HIM AND HE WAS FROM SCRANTON. BUT WILLIAM HOPKINS DEATH CERTIFICATE STATES HE DIED IN NORTH CHARLEROI ,PENNSLYVANIA. This is a virtual site but her death certificate said Grandview cemetary . This is by Mary Ellen Campbell and if anyone has any information my email is [email protected]. I have found other things by now , but continue to hit a brick wall . With her parents and my grandfather Harry Jones parents . If again anyone can point me in the right direction I would be grateful . Thank you so much. I do need the gravesite recorded on film. Thanks again.
