Diane Ables, age 50 of Spruce Pine, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2001 at her residence.
Mrs. Ables was a housewife and a member of the Isbell Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and Dewey Guthrie and a brother, Wayne Guthrie.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 17 at 1:00 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Ed Bragwell officiating. Interment was in Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
Mrs. Ables is survived by her husband, Terry Ables; four sisters, Bertha Pendegraph of Vina, Frances Allen of Chicago, Illinois, and Alice Reedy and Ann Raike, both of Spruce Pine; and nieces and nephews.
