Jerry "J.R" Ray Adkins, Jr., age 23, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2003 at his residence.
Mr. Adkins was a native of Franklin County and a member of North Russellville Baptist Church. He was employed with Code Services as an N.D.T. tester. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Pauline Adkins; and his grandfather, Dan Guthrie.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 16, 2003, at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville with Bro. Mike Smith officiating. Interment will be in Knights of Pyhias Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Isbell, Billy Moore, Shane McCormick, Jack Streetman, Shannon McNutt and Brian Woods.
Mr. Adkins is survived by his mother, Janie Sloas of Russellville, his father, Ray Adkins of Russellville; his stepmother, Peggy Adkins of Russellville; his stepfather, Jimmy Sloas of Russellville; a brother, Colby Forester of Russellville; the love of his life, Carmen Head of Russellville; his grandmother Nellie Massey of Vina; his grandfather, J.T. Musgrove of Russellville; his step grandfather, Burnel Massey of Vina; three aunts, Elizabeth Rodriques, Tina Isbell, and Frances Moore; and two uncles, Jay Musgrove and Daniel Guthrie.
